porquê seguir um guru? · why follow a guru?

«yoga practice is like that. there is no physical thing, everything is happening within you. the sculpture is within You. the sculpture is Yoga, the Experience, the Understanding. to carve that sculpture within you, you have to do lots of sacrifice, you have to do lots of Sadhana, you have to let go of many things. If you just want to do asana, you want to be fit and come to Mysore that is also ok, but that doesn't count as Sadhana. you won't understand what yoga is. how you carve your self in the spiritual practice, that is very important. Sadhana is very easy to say, but behind that, there is so many sacrifice».
feel inspired.

some of us spend a lifetime without connecting with their spiritual side, never looking for a guru, the teacher that will make you waken up for the true knowledge.
I'm here in India next to my teacher, my guru, and only here one can understand the significance it has. to be next to someone who almost doesn't talk to you, says very few words, but has that look, enough to make understand the meaning of what is there. that look that makes us go deep within ourselves, that takes you go out of the comfort zone and reveals what is hidden (or you try to hide) and most of the times not want to face. this is the interior growth we gain here. not always what we want to face but believe the only real way to after confrontation evolve in the process of stabilizing the mind.
and when do we know that we found our? first we have to choose a system and follow it. I chose this method and so I know Sharath is my guru. it is he who has the blessing to follow the lineage of the practice. and he says «guru is the one that wakes you up, he doesn't pamper you, he wakes us up to the true knowledge, the spiritual path».
As a daily sadhana. «the practice of yoga is not physical ... because everything grows within you, everything happens within you». Sharath tells the story of the sculptor who every day and with precision, focus and magic carves a stone into a beautiful sculpture. and does not want to be disturbed, he just wants to do his job, and every minute counts, every step is decisive. so Sharath compares the construction of a sculpture to yoga.
«Yoga practice is like that. there is the physical thing, everything is happening Within You. the sculpture is Within You. the sculpture is Yoga, the Experience, the Understanding. to carve sculpture que Within You, You Have to the lots of sacrifice, you have to do the lots of Sadhana, you have to let go of many things. If you just want to do asana, you want to be fit and come to Mysore that is also ok, but that is not Sadhana. you will not understand what yoga is. how you carve your self in the spiritual practice, that is very important. Sadhana is very easy to say, but behind there is so many sacrifice».
feel blessed and inspired.
