Obrigada do fundo do meu coração.

I am so blessed. obrigada a todos, somos família.

muitos beijos
muito obrigada
I love you to the Universe and back...

One more round around the SUN ... it seems like they're getting better and better! And that only has one reason, life, a magic life full of abundance, friends, love! That is all I wish for, that you all continue to be there, being more and more, sharing this blessing of being here, now, to enjoy every minute of life with an open heart, without fear and following only one direction ~ love.

this day is also special because it's been a year since my book was published and it's been a beautiful year with this last baby - I wanted to thank the beautiful messages that were sent to me from all over  that filled me with joy, love, making me wanting to continue and do more! Thank you from the bottom of my heart

For this new cycle (also new decade!) I wish that the conscience continues to grow on this planet so that in the end everyone will be happy and free! and of course LOVE, the great reason for this journey!

I chose this photo from my beloved fantastic friend (also virgo dragon like me!!) Carolina Monteverde because it makes me see myself and the mixture that I am ... virgo, dragon, wild half, half earth, half Asian, half European, half Brazilian, the smile, the simplicity, the joy, the love. and because another sister Joana Lobo Anta did these WONDERFUL paintings and I could not miss this moment ...
I am so blessed. Thank you all, we are family.

many kisses
thank you
I love you to the Universe and back ...

Yoga-me goes to the city!

... à linda vida que tenho
... ao mundo
... ao meu gato que é tão fofo
... o carinho que a minha família me dá

Full on weekend!
I started with a yoga class at Carlota´s class at the German school in Lisbon.
I chose to give a thankful class ... giving thanks to the sun, to the moon, to the trees and plants, the friends, the family ... giving thanks, we do yoga poses with lots of fun!
As you know, yoga postures are associated with nature and so it is always a good idea to remember this when practicing with children.
In the end, as an exercise in meditation they would write anything they are thankful for.
The result is so beautiful .. in several languages
«I am thankful to..
my mother who makes me good food
to the beautiful life I have
to the world ...
to my cat that is so cute
to the affection my family gives me
for the yoga class I'm doing
for my fantastic friends
to the sun and to my mother and father
to the world because I live and I have a good life, beyond school ... »

What I feel in the end is that these beautiful children connect super fast with yoga, girls and boys. And they do really need it a lot because they are children subject to the crazy rhythm of adults and school hours similar to a 9 - 5 job ... and no one stops thinking about what we are doing to our children ...

On Saturday, even with a chilli weather for summer and a wind worth the title Gone with the Wind, we went to the Lisbon Book Fair in what was the first event yoga class in the event with 87 years!!
It was super beautiful, even with the confusion of so many people, we managed to keep the energy going. People stopped, they became curious and there was always a sweet smile.
I am doing a paste of the message of Vanessa, from Funchal who took the opportunity to come to do the class with me!
I hope you do not mind Vanessa but I liked your message so much "I could not fail to express my gratitude for yesterday's workshop at the book fair, it was so good, I came back to Funchal with a full heart and with a smile on my lips! I loved getting to know Filipa, live,  because I think I may say I have the presumption to say that I already knew a little bit through the book! Despite the confusion around us, I felt deeply connected, deep gratitude! Kisses »
What a sweetheart, thank you so much for coming Vanessa. Have a good trip and see you soon!

girls moon days - what to do according to the lady of yoga

18.1.17

PT
hoje o post é dedicado a ti querida Inês.

Today is for you my dear sister. you girl, woman, source of energy, strength, warmth - you that just completed this beautiful feminine age of 40, this beautiful time when all seems start making sense, just by being as you are and accepting the journey as it is filled with joy and clarity. fits you so well dear Ines.
I am so proud of you. for being such a brave angel joining every time my yoga classes, for literally challenging governments and stablished powers to be there, for fighting for your space in the «normal» society, creating space to have that one hour for you, that one hour when you can breath, because you know and recognize how important it is finally to be able to breathe for simple 60 minutes even if breathing in its fullness still seems a Herculean task of knowing the true deep effects. But you trust the process with a strength of a light warrior. I am so proud of you. You mother, woman, sister, daughter - you are an example and an inspiration for all of us.
And because today it is for you - here is what you asking me all the time: how is it to practice in our Moon days?
I will tell you what the mother of my Teacher, the Yoga lady, the daughter of Pattabhi Jois - Saraswati Jois, told me, and from whom I published an interview she blessed me with a few years ago.
Saraswati has the name of a goddess and she herself embodies with simplicity the legacy that life has presented her.
Being a woman, a mother and a grandmother she has a very feminine perspective. She believes in an equal practice for men and women, but warns that "we are physically different, so we must take this difference into account".

FV: Why is it that women should not practice ashtanga yoga during the first three days of their period?
RSJ: For some women it is very difficult to practice during these days, because of pain or that they bleed a lot. Most women work a lot and need to rest and to take it easy for three days every month - it is very important! It is not good for the body to practice hard during the days when you bleed the most and during the period women should not do Salamba Sarvangasana or Sirsasana. Here, in India according to the Brahman tradition the woman rest these days, she does not cook and does not even go into the kitchen. Other women cook for her and she eats and sleeps a lot!

FV: Is there a more subtle explanation for this Saraswati?
RSJ: That is to let the body rest the three first days of the period so that the menstruation cycle is not disturbed. For some women, who do not rest from the practice those days, the period may disappear or becomes irregular and it can be difficult for them to become pregnant. The organs in the body are purified through the asanas and that is very good, but not during these days. It is also important to eat properly. Many women say that they do not want to eat dairy products, but women who practice yoga need milk and ghee twice a day. Especially ghee is important because it cools the body. In the yoga practice the body becomes very hot and you sweat a lot. It is not good to eat too much ghee, though, and the ghee should be pure and of good quality. One teaspoon in the morning and in the evening is enough. If you eat pure ghee you do not have to be worried about getting too much cholesterol. My father likes ghee a lot and he used to have maybe a little bit too much of it in his food - I had to tell him not to, ha ha ha! After giving birth, the woman should also eat ghee and drink milk to recover.

eu honro as luas

I honor moon days
this is how I was taught in the tradition of the Ashtanga Yoga practice. students and curious people  ask a lot what to to on moon days in regards to the practice. I wrote about it in this post
personally I choose these days to modify my practice, to connect with my feminine, be softer, meditate more, stay in  permanence. breath in permanence.
they say there is a legend that in moon days if we hurt ourselves it takes longer to recover ... in fact my knee made that clack ~ I still hear it ~ in a moon day. I was in Bingin, Uluwatu, spending a night with friends and my daughters and that sound came.. still affects me today. after that it was a roller coaster of facts that led to my story and my knee - pain, liquid, swelling knee. a story to one day tell in more detail 😅the fact is that I grew so much with my knee, not just on a emotional side knowing myself, my ego, forgiving, understanding, non judging. strong ones.
in fact I healed myself, with time, patience, care, letting go, acceptance. today I feel 85% good. careful present and conscious, eventually postures like padmasana or marichasana d are not the same but they are what they are and that is totally fine.
today is moon day and I write, I take care of the house and myself, I go for a walk, I say hello to special friends, I connect, I adapt my class in lisbon.
what i feel is that honouring these days and be aware of its existence opens space to create consciousness as everything is sacred. life is sacred. and us cosmic beings.
may the moon guide us in harmony.
