Esta edição do Bali Spirit foi mágica. Épica. A melhor que eu experienciei.

A primeira vez que ouvi falar no Bali Spirit Festival foi exatamente há 11 anos e na altura a minha Carlota era um recém nascido e viajar para Bali era, até para mim, difícil. Lembro-me que pedi ao Niki para visitar o evento e ele adorou, trouxe-me a primeira t-shirt que ainda hoje adoro e agora já é a Carlota que a usa! Ficou plantada a semente para sempre. 

Quando fui para Bali em 2012 um dos sonhos era fazer parte do Bali Spirit Festival. Assim que conheci a Meghan disse logo que queria fazer parte e ela respondeu entusiasticamente que sim e em menos de nada já estava a receber mails e reuniões e tudo acontece super rápido e já está. 

Comecei a tomar conta de VIPs mas cedo quis algo mais motivador e ainda me lembro que na segunda edição a tomar conta dos vips, a Meghan recebeu um telefonema a dizer que o espaço das Bakti Nights estava sem decoração e que era necessário alguém ir para lá... eu estava ao lado por alguma razão e disse-lhe logo que ia!! Ela ficou toda feliz, eu também!

Fiz tudo basicamente. Como nós dizemos, arregacei as mangas e meti os balineses todos a trabalhar, a limpar, decoramos, organizamos, demos vida. Ficou lindo. Foi um sucesso e depois desse dia não voltei a sair das Bakti Nights, no Arma Museum, que eram as primeiras noites do BSF. Sempre com música mais espiritual e ambiente mais intimista. Mas chegamos a ter noites bem divertidas de dançar até mais não! 

Foram vários anos a colaborar desta forma até que, no ano passado, a Meghan para minha surpresa e  grande honra convidou-me para dar aulas no festival! Era o que faltava e apesar de nunca ter achado que eu pudesse pisar o mesmo palco daqueles professores todos reconhecidos dos mundo... afinal estava lá ao lado deles! E não há impossíveis. 

Este foi o segundo ano que dei aulas e foi ainda mais épico, com a magia toda envolvente, de dança, música, yoga, gente linda, global, um espírito mágico, todos pareciam fadas, mágicos, seres celestes... porque ali estamos todos de coração aberto e somos apenas luz. 

Queria agradecer à minha sister Silvia Stojanovic que me acompanhou a Bali e foi a melhor amiga e assistente no Bali Spirit e ao excelente pianista Arash Behzadi que me fez a proposta linda e espontânea de tocar na primeira aula do festival. E a todos os que vieram e aos amigos lindos. Que maravilha e que benção. 

Este ano Portugal tinha uma bolsa especial e houve quem tivesse aproveitado. Vamos ver se a sorte continua do nosso lado para podermos continuar a ter um acesso especial! Por favor marquem o mês de Março 2019 para o BaLi Spirit Festival e prometo que me vão agradecer. É lindo, é mágico, é uma experiência que devemos ter pelo menos uma vez na vida. Qualquer coisa perguntem!

This edition of the Bali Spirit was magical. Epic. The best I've experienced.

The first time I heard about the Bali Spirit Festival was exactly 11 years ago and at the time my Carlota was a newborn and traveling to Bali was, even for me, difficult. I remember asking Niki to visit the event and he loved it, he brought me the first t-shirt, I still love it today and in fact Carlota wears it now. The seed was planted forever.

When I went to Bali in 2012 one of the dreams was to be part of the Bali Spirit Festival. As soon as I met Meghan I said Iwanted to be part of it and she responded so enthusiastically - open week later I was already receiving emails and meetings and everything happens super fast and very fast I was already part of a team of amazing creative people. 

I started taking care of VIPs but soon wanted something more motivating and I still remember that in the second edition, Meghan received a phone call saying that the space of the Bakti Nights was without decoration and that someone needed to go there ... I was next to her for some reason.. so I told her I would go and so did I! She was all happy, me too!

I did everything basically. Myself and a team of sweet Balinese we started to clean, to decorate, to organize, to give life. It became beautiful. The following nights were a success and after that day I never left the Bakti Nights at the Arma Museum. More spiritual music and a more intimate atmosphere ( we as well had some fun evenings of dancing and so much fun!)

It was several years of collaborating until, last year, Meghan to my surprise and great honor invited me to teach at the festival! It was what I lacked and although I never thought I could step on the same stage of those professors all recognized of the world ... after all it was there beside them! And there is nothing impossible.

This was the second year I taught and it was even more epic, with magic all around, dance, music, yoga, beautiful people, global, a magic spirit, everyone looked like fairies, magicians, celestial beings ... because there we are all open-hearted and just light.

I wanted to thank my sister Silvia Stojanovic who accompanied me to Bali and was the best friend and assistant in Bali Spirit and the excellent pianist Arash Behzadi who made me the beautiful and spontaneous proposal to play in the first class of the festival. What a wonder and what a blessing.

Please mark the month of March 2019 for the BaLi Spirit Festival and I promise you will thank me. It's beautiful, it's magic, it's an experience we should have at least once in our lives.

Wander..lust Lisboa

Setembro.. setembro é o meu mês... e este vem recheado de presentes. parece que isto dos 40 tem mesmo efeito.. é também um mês de regresso a casa depois de meses cheios de pôr-do-sol magníficos em frente ao mar com as nossas pessoas preferidas. 

Casa, voltar a casa. Mais do que algo físico ou geográfico casa é um espaço de consciência onde sentimos, onde somos. casa é espaço de gratidão onde conhecemos e sentimos o nosso mais íntimo pedaço de nós. casa é o espaço para ser ... evolucionário, criador. 

como? mantendo uma prática diária, cultivando o amor nos espaços sagrados, mantendo-nos fortes, enraizados, retirando suave mas eficazmente o que não é mais preciso. construindo a nossa comunidade. 

E quando funcionamos em comunidade -  espiritual - tudo ganha uma nova frequência. As histórias na vida. A vida é cheia de histórias e quando a consciência está preparada vemos a razão e a lógica subtil dos acontecimentos e entendemos como tudo afinal funciona. 

Há uns anos conheci o wanderlust e adorava ler sobre as experiências, olhava para as fotos e dizia a mim mesma, «um dia vou a este festival». sentir aquela energia junta a praticar yoga, a trocar informação, a viver e sentir a liberdade. 

anos mais tarde recebo uma mensagem porque o wanderlust vai chegar a Portugal. e porque querem que faça parte da equipa, sendo um dos seus talents! vou dar uma aula e um talk mas mais do que tudo fazer parte deste evento maravilhoso que está aqui para despertar a prática do yoga em casa um de nós, em formar esta comunidade de gente linda e poderosa, para cultivar bons hábitos alimentares, aprender a viver de forma sustentável, ser criativo, ser a nossa melhor versão, sermos...afinal conscientes e viver de forma consciente, uma das questões dos nossos dias!

September .. September is my month ... and this one comes packed with presents. it looks like this effect from the 40's is real! 

it's also the month for coming home after months full of magnificent sunsets on the seafront with our favorite people. Home, coming home. More than a physical or geographic house, home is a space of consciousness where we feel, where we are. home is a space of gratitude where we know and feel our most intimate pieces of ourselves. home is the space to be ... evolutionary, creative.

how? maintaining a daily practice, cultivating love in sacred spaces, staying strong, grounded, softly but effectively dropping what no longer serves you, staying close to our community..

when we function within a spiritual community, everything gains new dimension. stories in our life. Life is full of stories and when consciousness is prepared we feel the reason and subtle logic of happenings and start to understand how in fact everything works and is connected. 

A few years ago I saw wanderlust and loved the concept, the experience and at that time told myself, «I'm coming to this festival one day.» 

I wanted to feel that energy of people gathering to practice yoga, share information, to live the dream, feel the freedom.

Years later I get a message because the wanderlust will reach Portugal inviting me to be part of the team, being one of the talents! reality can surpass your dreams! so blessed to be part of this wonderful event and in my country..  inspiring the practice of yoga, forming this community of beautiful and powerful people, cultivate good eating habits, learn to live sustainable, to be creative, to be the best version of ourselves... to be conscious and live consciously, one of the big issues of our times, for sure. 

Find your true north and...

family ties

Um dia um professor de yoga disse-me que se eu quisesse saber onde estou na minha caminhada pela autoconsciência... o melhor para um check up seria passar uma semana com a família! Tenho a certeza que todos entendem!

Desde então nunca mais esqueci esta frase. Analiso-me, respiro antes de falar (ou berrar ahah!), fujo quando a conversa é só para andar às mesmas voltas de sempre... etc etc... mas também sei que, a avaliar pelo que me disse o meu professor, o caminho ainda é longo. Mas está melhor sem dúvida. Até porque sei que muitas coisas não são minhas, são dos outros; eu espelho o que me vai na alma portanto a minha reação é que pode mudar o que acontece quando estou por perto. A minha e a de todos. 

Este fim-de-semana foi a comunhão das minhas filhas. Um dia lindo, cheio de magia, e as meninas habituadas a festividades sagradas levam tudo muito a sério, o que me deixa muito feliz. depois de anos em cerimónias balinesas, o sacramento foi de Cristo. As duas felizes. (apesar da Johanna estar doentinha..)

Juntou-se família, família emprestada, família de família, um patchwork interessante. E tudo correu bem. Talvez porque aquele dia em que o meu professor me disse aquela frase. Não são os outros, sou eu. Então é em mim que tenho de analisar o que se passa. Este check passei, o yoga e a sua magia.. 

Do meu livro ~ não peça amor, seja a personificação do amor, porque ele é um estado de consciência, em ligação com o seu espírito. Irá, assim, acender o fogo do amor à sua volta. E quanto mais der, mais irá receber.

One day a yoga teacher told me that if I wanted to know where I am on my journey for self-awareness ... the best thing for a check would be to spend a week with the family! 

Since then I have never forgotten that sentence. I analyze myself, I breathe before I speak (or shout ahah!), I jump off when the conversation is the same usual... etc etc ... but still I am aware, the way is still long. Also because I know a lot going on is not mine, it belongs to others; I am just a mirror of my own soul so my reaction can change the energy when I'm around...

This weekend was the Holy communion of my daughters. A beautiful day, full of magic, and the girls used to sacred ceremonies took everything very seriously, which makes me very happy. After years in bali hindu ceremonies, it was time for Christs Sacrament. 

It was an interesting patchwork, family, extended family, family of family. And everything went well. Maybe because that day my teacher told me that sentence... the yoga and its magic.

From my book ~ «do not ask for love, be the embodiment of love, because it is a state of consciousness, in connection with your spirit. You will thus light the fire of love around you. And the more you give, the more you will receive».

o que significa afinal este som que tanto e cada vez mais ouvimos.. namaste... 
ouvimos na Índia ou no final das aulas de yoga - eu adoro este som e digo muito. namaste. é normalmente feito unindo as palmas das mãos em frente ao coração acompanhada de um natural gesto de reverência, de respeito, de honra - de nos honramos uns aos outros. mesmo em silêncio este gesto é bonito e tem o mesmo significado.
na Ásia é muito usado - é um cumprimento ou saudação. literalmente significa «eu curvo-me perante ti». esta palavra vem da ideia de que guardamos uma centelha divina dentro de cada um de nós - situada no chakra do coração, uma espécie de reconhecimento da alma de um na alma do outro. 
é muito lindo, se pensarmos na energia que está por trás, não estamos apenas a querer saber se o outro está bem, estamos a reconhecer-lhe a essência divina, a tal partícula do universo que somos que faz de nós seres cósmicos e únicos na essência.
experimente. junte as mãos no chakra do coração e sinta-o. sinta o amor em si, se curvar a cabeça e fechar os olhos entrega a sua mente ao divino. faça um namaste a si mesmo como técnica de meditação e vá fundo dentro de si. 
namaste abre espaço onde dois indivíduos se juntem num lugar de conexão energética, onde a união dos espíritos pode florescer e ganhar uma dimensão de beleza e realização, numa vibração superior, num espaço onde queremos sempre estar.

what means after all this sound that we hear so much .. namaste ...

we hear it in every corner in India or at the end of yoga classes - myself I love this word and I actually use it quite a lot, feels good to me vibrating the sound of namaste...

It is usually used by joining the palms of the hands in front of the heart accompanied by a natural gesture of reverence, respect, honor - we honor one another. even in silence this gesture is beautiful and carries the same meaning and energy.

In Asia is much used - as a greeting or salutation. Nama means bow so namaste literally means «I bow to you» - the word comes from the belief that we keep a divine spark within each of us - located in the heart chakra, an acknowledgment of the soul in one by the soul in another.

It is very beautiful, if we think of the energy behind, we are not only wanting to know how the other one feels, we are recognising our Divine nature, that particle of the Universe we are which makes us cosmic beings and unique essence.

Try it: join hands in the heart chakra and feel the vibration, the flow of the Divine. feel the love in yourself, bow your head, close your eyes and surrender your mind to the Divine in the heart. Make a namaste to yourself as a meditation and go deep within yourself.

namaste allows two individuals to come together in a energetically place of connection, a place where the union of the spirits can blossom into where only beauty prevails, on a higher vibration where we don't wish to ever leave..

É assim com um orgulho imenso que vou representar Portugal em Bali naquele que é o festival de yoga mais lindo do planeta e com quem tenho partilhado tantos momentos lindos nos últimos anos. que prazer melhor do buscar o meu livro, um sonho tornado real, ao lado de duas soul sisters lindas, as deusas como elas a quem dedico este livro e que deram a este momento um sabor especial. minhas deusas, que honra e que orgulho e que alegria e que misto de emoções ter o meu livro nas mãos. está lindo, sou muito eu. yoga-me nasceu com este blog, com toda a ajuda de quem desse lado me lê e acompanha nesta viagem, que me inspira e que me deixa inspirar. uma benção de vida e na vida para partilhar. está pronto e todos estão convidados para o lançamento dia 15 de Setembro, pelas 18h30 na Fundação Oriente em Lisboa, uma casa para mim a fechar este ciclo como cereja no topo do bolo.

what an honor and pride and joy and mixed emotions have my book in my hands. its almost too perfect to be true. 

yoga-me was born with this blog, with all the help from the ones who actually read and follow me on this journey, that inspire me and give me space to inspire as well. it is ready and everyone is invited to the launch on 15 September at 18:30 in the Orient Foundation in Lisbon, a home who completes the cycle with so much love. 

Louise Luz, here on the right staying in my home at the moment, there is no explanation for having her now here beside me. she is part of this book, she is the image of this blog and a talented fashion designer who makes the most beautiful prints in the world. our story is one of the most amazing I have, we meet in front of our bigger inspiration and teacher Sharath. 

and Ju ~ this girl is such a power  goddess, a real doer full of life and love and so generous I have no words to the love she is sharing with us. very happy to have you in my life, now and forever. we are dream team.

this book has so many people to thank - some are in the book ... but I would like to thank very much the publisher 20 | 20 which was just perfect and awesome. to Jorge, to Catarina and Joana a very special kiss.

and my mother who tirelessly took care of my girls so I could literally shut myself up at home to write and produce these pages of love.

love letter to 2015

Dear 2015

I want to tell you I love you - and I love you exactly as you are. with your good and bad days, sunny or rainy days, happy or sad, spacey or grounded.. I love for your wisdom that you gently offered to me, for making me stronger and better each day. for giving me the support when I needed but also advising me stop when that was the case. 

I also love you for making me taking hard decisions not knowing if they were the best and accepting them as anyways you told me that they were to happen exactly as they happened. 

I want to thank you for all the opportunities you gave me, I traveled, I lived in many places Goa, Mysore, Ubud, Estoril, Murches... I met wonderful people, friends for life which will always be in my life, I practiced yoga in amazing shalas with amazing teachers and friends, you gave me the opportunity to meet beautiful students. thank you for showing me that my heart in enough. 

thank you for showing the family path can be very intense and difficult but the great lesson is to grow together and evolve in our evolution. thank you for showing my angels are guiding lights of the Universe that are here to teach me unconditional love. they are my big Gurus and I am blessed to have these 2 healers next to me every day smiling and challenging me. they are a source of light and love. thank you for this 8th year journey and many more to come. 

thank you for putting me in the path of leaders, spiritual teachers who show me every day I am my  own biggest teacher. thank you for giving me circle and showing the eternal path I am seeking since a girl - to be free. this is my big call - FREEDOM, it really is me.

thank you for the new beginnings and the for gently closing some doors opening others so I understand my directions and real path. and for giving me the force to continue and carry on.

thank you for giving me this time to thank you. I feel more complete, more real, more grounded, more woman, more beautiful and more peaceful. I know this is still a big way but I can see clarity. Yes thank you for the clarity. for the meditation comments and deep insights. they are a daily bless. 

thank you for letting me apologize when I was not at my best and for the support of brothers and sisters I have all around the world - a community of conscious people wanting the better and only love. 

thank you for helping to see my business as a source for me and the planet. and for guiding in this life of constant change. thank you for the big moments of doubts and fear release - you 2015, you brought me to a place where I had to deal with my ghosts and learn to take care of myself properly and rest. you brought me a sense of love for myself, seeing age as a bless and peace place where only love matters.

hoje marco o início de uma nova etapa. que vai ser intensa e pura. vou ser eu. numa forma diferente. dia-a-dia novas palavras, relembrar, estruturar, pensar. ser eu. 

já o tinha manifestado, o desejo de o fazer. já me andava a preparar, como se um dia fosse mesmo acontecer. e é assim - quando se manifesta, o universo oferece. lindo. e no mesmo dia outro desejo se manifestou. andava a querer umas cartas e já tinha pensado em várias formas de as ter que fossem especiais. e elas vieram a mim. uma amiga de longa data realizou-me dois desejos num só dia. percebi porque conheci há uns 15 anos a Joana. obrigada querida! já tinha percebido mas agora revelou-se. e regalou-me com este presente. cartas dos Anjos (são da Editora Nascente). adoro. 

a primeira carta diz para aceitar com confiança as oportunidades oferecidas. I guess this is it!

today marks the beginning of a new stage. it will be intense and pure. I will be me. on a different form. new words, remember, organize, think. be me.

I had already expressed the desire to do it. I was kind of preparing myself as it would really happen one day. and when you manifest, the universe offers. its awesome. funny because on the same day also another desire manifested and came true. I was wishing cards and had already thought of several ways to get them in a way that it would be special. and they came to me. a long time friend made two wishes happen in one day. I realised now why I met 15 years ago Joana. I knew already but but now was it got revealed. and she gave me this pre x-mas present. angel tarot. love it.

the first letter says to accept with confidence the opportunities offered. I guess this is it!

yummy yoga weekend

o norte sabe a retreat, aquele ar fresco pela manhã, as casas de granito, o verde das serras. foi um fim-de-semana de muito trabalho, práticas, workshop, entrega, partilha. 

prática intensa pela manhã seguindo a sequência Ashtanga Yoga - a curiosidade que sinto pelo método é inspiradora. na realidade não há outra forma de o entender senão através de uma prática consistente, regular e comprometida. cada um depois terá o seu processo mas yoga is about that, the process! não o resultado. e o ashtanga yoga tem um poder transformador mágico.
foi para mim o que me ficou de mais forte neste encontro com mulheres lindas que aconteceu em Viana-do-Castelo. o aprofundar para algumas da prática que já vêm mantendo, outras a dismistificação do método.
e é sempre lindo conhecer talentos. a Teresa que faz um produtos maravilhosos (com novidades em breve!), a Joana linda consultora de moda, a entusiasta generosa e bonita Bárbara, a top Helena, a querida Raquel que nos uniu, as manas Xana e Graça, duas mulheres lindas cheias de talentos para dar e vender, a querida Ana que esteve comigo na minha casa em Bali e que agora revejo mais forte com a prática!, a fantástica energia da Carmélia (adoro este nome!) que tem um restaurante que recomendo, a doce Alexandra também professora de yoga. e eu levei comigo a minha amiga e colega de retreats - a Leonor, a fantástica Leonor que nos providenciava umas refeições divinais depois da prática que sabiam a manjar dos deuses.

the north of Portugal tastes like retreat. the fresh mornings breeze, the stone houses, the green fields... it was a weekend of hard work, practice, workshop, accepting, sharing.

intense practice in the morning following the Ashtanga Yoga sequence - the curiosity for the method is inspiring. in reality there is no other way to understand but through a consistent practice, regular and committed. then each will have its process but yoga is about that, the process! not the result. and the ashtanga yoga has a magical transforming power.

It was for me what I took from this retreat with beautiful women that took place in Viana-do-Castelo. 

and it's always lovely to meet new and inspiring talents. 

Teresa makes some wonderful product (we will have some news soon!), beautiful Joana fashion trend setter and consultant, generous and beautiful enthusiastic Barbara, the top Helena, dear Rachel that brought us together, the sisters Xana and Grace, two women beautiful full talent to share, dear Ana who was with me at my home in Bali now stronger with practice !, the amazing Carmelia´s energy, sweet Alexandra also a teacher of yoga. and I took with me my friend and retreat colleague - Leonor, fantastic Leonor who gave us deliciously fantastic meals after practice that felt like to the gods.

depois de uma prática maravilhosa, de uma aula cheia de alunas lindas.. aqui vou eu de novo, desta vez rumo ao norte - a Viana do castelo para um fim-de-semana de retiro! muitas práticas, comida ótima pela minha querida amiga Leonor, na casa apalaçada como só as do norte da querida Helena, com a organização da fantástica Raquel - dream team! fim-de-semana de aventura e conexão. uauá que bom! sinto-me abençoada!

sempre nas minhas viagens, na minha gipsy life-style onde esteja - agora a usufruir de um lindo outono em Portugal ainda cheio de calor e cores lindas. há 3 anos que não via as cores mágicas desta estação do ano. Bali é tropical :) confesso que estou a sentir Portugal a receber-me de coração com este clima de sonho...

desta vez fui a Coimbra, cidade que me viu crescer nos verões quando vinha de Macau nas férias. 

uma aula Mysore seguida de uma conversa sobre yoga e partilha de experiências. visita a uma amiga, a Raquel, que tem um shala lindo bem no coração da cidade; conhecer praticantes que se tornam novos amigos, ter alunos fadistas como o Luís e estudantes, como o Ricardo ou não estaríamos em

Coimbra! outros como a Anabela com projetos lindos de yoga com bebés e crianças, outros dedicados e empenhados como a Paula (uma inspiração de senhora, vai longe!) e a linda Renata; ser visitada por uma sister bailarina e mostrar-lhe as maravilhas desta prática. é muito bom ver a família sempre a crescer!! I feel inspired. Obrigada Coimbra Yoga <3 

para muitos que me escrevem a perguntar onde praticar, este shala é, de facto, uma excelente opção para praticantes ou aspirantes do centro e norte do país! A Raquel é muito especial, conhecemo-nos em Mysore e vivemos intensamente um mês juntas, foi muito lindo. 

Para a semana é fim-de-semana em Viana do Castelo, em Perre! Ainda há as últimas vagas para quem quiser uma inspiração a acabar o ano.

always in my travels wherever I am in my beloved gypset life-style - now enjoying a beautiful autumn in Portugal still very warm with extraordinary colors. this time I went to Coimbra, a city that saw me grow in the summers when I came from Macao on vacations.

one Mysore class followed by a conversation about yoga and sharing lots of experiences. and a visit to a friend, Raquel, who has a beautiful shala well in the heart of the students city. I meet practitioners who become new friends, singers like Luis, students like Ricardo or it wouldn't be Coimbra! or like Anabela who has a beautiful yoga project with babies and children; other dedicated and committed as Paula (an inspiration of a lady, she will go far!) or beautiful Renata. another friend visited, a bailarina sister, and I am so proud to show her the wonders of this practice. It is great to see the family growing !! I feel inspired. Thank Coimbra Yoga!

Next weekend I will be in Viana do Castelo! last spots still available for those who want some inspiration to finish the year.
